as you all know the Pretoria Show, now called the “T” Show will be taking place 27 August – 5 September 2010, and always poses a problem as far as entrance to the grounds. We are working on this and should hopefully have a solution for our regular players soon.
Indoor paintball arena!
Yup, Nova has been approached to run an indoor “paintball” arena on the current badminton courts for 5 days during the Pretoria Show. The hall has rubber flooring so playing in sneakers will work fine, plus we will only be using re-balls (lightweight latex rubber “paintballs” that weigh about the same as a paintball and will not cause any extra harm or mess inside the arena.
Fees: R20 for 15 minutes and a full hopper of re-balls (About 180 reballs) - Same fee applies to Own Marker or Rental Players.
Fields: 1 x Mashy Field with Huge Tyres and inflatable bunkers.
Own marker players are urged to make sure they can use re-balls in their hoppers without suffering jamming problems. Otherwise Gravity feed hoppers will be provided free of charge.
We hope this works out to be a lot of fun during the show.
Nova Main Field
The main Nova Field will be closed during the show, we have decided this simply due to the hassles with security, the extra parking fees, trouble with the “Horsey People” who after multiple warnings constantly tie their horses to our border fence and then want to fight with us when their horses get a fright or bolt off flattening people, trees, cars and farm animals as they run…LOL! No seriously, we just don’t want to be responsible for any horses or people getting hurt, neither do we want to put our Clients through the drama of getting in.
We sincerely apologise for these troubling 2 weeks of the year and hope they pass quickly.

Hi Everyone!
After seeing how much fun the 1 on 1 games work we will soon be hosting 1 on 1 tournaments in conjunction with the RPL for the Bushball/Villageball Lovers on our Field 2. Yup that’s right, the field is actually becoming playable and we’ll be having a Field 2 launch day soon. We’ll keep everyone updated.

Hi Everyone!
we ran a mini 1 on 1 tournament this morning, and turned out to be lots of fun an exciting although only 4 players made it out of bed and to the Field. We played a first to 3 format in order to get some good games in and score points in a qualifying round, and then a semi final and final for 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th places.

The tournament was small but has a lot of potiential and we will keep running these tournaments from time to time just to keep those skills sharp and paintball withdrawals at bay!

Nova Paintball in Conjunction with the PaintballShop Centurion have started a new program where for only R200, players can now rent the Planet Eclipse ETEK 3 marker at our range. The package includes an electronic, sound activated force feed hopper, and a HPA air tank with Eclipse bottle cover on it.
